Looking to God amid COVID-19

Our daughter wrote this Bible passage on a whiteboard in our hallway to encourage us during this time of uncertainty due to the coronavirus . I am sharing it with you:

“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

This verse came to my mind:

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’ Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.” (Psalm 91:1-3)

As a family, we are praying for any health care workers we personally know as well as all those impacted by the virus. We are also praying that God will supernaturally intervene and bring healing, and also use the health care industry to find a cure.

God bless all of you as you seek comfort in God during this time.
